Police release stills from jewellery theft

On March 21 the Whistler RCMP released some video stills from a smash-and-grab jewellery theft at a Whistler art gallery, which took place just after 4 a.m. on March 9.

On March 21 the Whistler RCMP released some video stills from a smash-and-grab jewellery theft at a Whistler art gallery, which took place just after 4 a.m. on March 9.

The thieves stole roughly $15,000 worth of jewellery, smashing a window to gain access and then smashing a display case to steal the jewellery items. They set off the audible alarm in the process, but were gone before police arrived.

While the men covered their faces during the robbery, police obtained stills of suspects from hotel cameras.
