A small amount of cash was reported stolen.

Police attended and set up a perimeter around the unit, located in the 4300 block of Northlands Boulevard.

The suspect, who was described as being white, around 183 centimetres (6-feet) tall, wearing grey sweatpants, a black jacket and a red baseball cap, reportedly jumped off the balcony and escaped. A police dog attempted to track the man's trail unsuccessfully.

The Whistler RCMP is examining fingerprints at the scene and on several items the suspect left behind.

Seemingly intoxicated man reportedly exposes himself to woman near Marketplace

A woman told police that a man exposed himself while walking past her on Lorimer Road near the Marketplace parking lot on Saturday afternoon, March 29.

The complainant told officers that the suspect appeared to be under the influence of drugs at the time, and was described as a Caucasian male between 20 and 30 years old, 186 centimetres (6'1") with dirty blonde hair and a medium build.

Fraudulent debit card used to purchase expensive jewelry, says store clerk

A village jewelry store clerk reported to police that a male customer used a fraudulent debit card to purchase a gold pendant and necklace on Sunday, March 30.

The employee said a man entered the store at around 10: 30 a.m. and asked to purchase two of the most expensive items available. The clerk attempted to process the purchase, but the debit card chip would not function. The man then punched in the card's digits manually, and the transaction was approved. However, after reading the authorization number, the clerk realized it was not a valid, and contacted the point of sale debit provider to authorize the sale. As this process took some time, according to the complainant, the suspect left a contact number and left the store. Ultimately, it was determined the card was fraudulent.

Security footage has been seized, and the investigation is ongoing, LeClair said.
