Cyclist discovers dead body in woods near Green Lake

Police are calling the death of an unidentified person "non-suspicious" after human remains were discovered by a passerby near Green Lake on Saturday, April 26.

A cyclist called police shortly after 8 a.m. to report the discovery of a body in the woods near Emerald, just off of Highway 99.

"No cause of death is being released," said Whistler RCMP Staff Sgt. Steve LeClair, who said the incident is being treated as "non-suspicious" and that no further information is likely to be provided.

Officers have not yet determined the gender of the deceased, and are unsure how long the remains have been at the scene.
