A 22-year-old woman currently residing in Whistler is being treated for head injuries at Vancouver General Hospital after being struck by a bus last night on Highway 99.

The collision happened at about 10 p.m. just north of Village Gate Blvd.

"When police arrived on the scene (she) was conscious and breathing," said Whistler RCMP Staff Sgt. Steve LeClair.

"We did a scene examination and interviewed some witnesses, including the driver of the bus and passengers on the bus."

The victim was taken to the Whistler Health Care Center before being transported to Vancouver General Hospital for further treatment.

No charges have been laid.

"The investigators are still reviewing the evidence and seeing if they can find some causation for the collision," LeClair said.
