With the Village of Pemberton undertaking a feasibility study to look at a possible Community Forest, an open house has been scheduled for residents to learn more.
The event will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Pemberton Museum.
"We want people to come and see what we've put together information-wise in terms of values and visions for the community forest, economic feasibility and the recreation components of it," said Deb Esseltine, communications coordinator for the study, which is being done by Robin B. Clarke Inc. Natural Resource Consultants.
"There's quite a bit of criteria involved in the feasibility study itself, so we'll have them look at the information that we've gathered in terms of answering that criteria and let them have a say as to what we've presented."
Once the feasibility study is completed it will be presented to council — likely in November.
