Tickets are now on sale for the third annual All Original Orphans' Thanksgiving dinner at the Point Artists-Run Centre.

The event is a community feast — with turkey and all the trimmings — and music night at the centre, located on the shores of Alta Lake. It takes place on Saturday, Oct. 10.

The Will Ross Band is headlining, with pianist Garth Mosbaugh and folk performer Trish Jamieson performing solo sets.

Organizer Stephen Vogler says the dinner was originally envisioned to bring people together who haven't got family dinners to go to for Thanksgiving, but has proved popular to all.

Dinner tickets are $30 and limited to 60 people so all can be seated. Show-only tickets are $15. Children under 12 are $20/$10. Tickets can be purchased at www.thepointartists.com or at Armchair Books.
