Highway 99 is closed following a vehicle incident involving a coach bus south of Whistler.

Initially Drive BC said the highway will be closed in both directions north of the Conroy Creek Forest Service Road until 5 p.m. today, however, as of 2 p.m. there is single-land alternating traffic until further notice. No detour is available.

The Pacific Coach Lines bus collided with at least one other vehicle at around 10:30 a.m.. BC Ambulance was called to the scene shortly after. One person, the driver of the bus, was airlifted out in serious condition, while two others were transported by ground, one in stable condition, the other with only minor injuries. Pacific Coach Lines told media outlets there were 49 passengers onboard at the time of the incident.

This is the second major delay on the Sea to Sky Highway in less than a week. A two-car collision that killed a Squamish man last Friday delayed traffic for several hours.

Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
