Norway's older contingent pulled off a repeat of Friday's successes Saturday at the Whistler Cup.

The podium toppers were both up there for the second time as Marte Monsen won the women's giant slalom and Wilhelm Normannseth won the men's event.

Monsen prevailed with a two-run time of one minute, 54.57 seconds (1:54.57) to best Canadian Eloise Carle by 0.75 seconds and Japan's Yukino Hatanaka by 1.09 seconds.

After winning the super-G on Friday as well, Monsen was thrilled with both results.

"I was thinking about skiing good and having a good time here in Canada. For sure, my coach helped me," she said. "Conditions were tough, but I like it when it's tough. I think it was fun... You need to fight all the way down. I'm a person who makes few mistakes and that's the person who wins, so I like wins like that."

With the chance for the sweep on Sunday, Monsen will look to keep her mind focused on smaller achievements with the hope they can become greater ones.

"I'm going to think about good skiing and skiing good all the way from start to the bottom," she said. "Then the results will come. I'll just wait and see."

On the men's side, her countryman Normannseth blazed to the slalom win with a combined 1:33.12 to best Canadian Jamie Casselman by 4.14 seconds and fellow Norwegian Kaspar Kindem by 5.74 seconds. Whistler Mountain Ski Club's Nathan Romanin, representing B.C. 1, was fourth, 7.20 seconds back and teammate Myles Kowalczyk was seventh, 8.64 seconds back.

As for the U14s, Ontario 1's Ashley Campbell scored the giant slalom win. Campbell posted a one-run time of 1:00.28 to edge out Quebec 1's Jade Bonneville by 0.15 seconds and Czech Republic's Karolina Kestlova by 0.33 seconds. She surprised even herself with the result.

"My run didn't feel so (good), but I was happy with my run afterwards," she said.

This is Campbell's second Whistler Cup, and now that she's among the older girls in the U14 age group, felt primed for more success this year after keeping a positive attitude.

"Last year, I didn't have a good year. I DNFed most of my races, so I just wanted to keep going through the tough times," she said.

The U14 race saw an all-Canadian podium as BC 1's Heiko Ihns snagged the one-run slalom with a 46.32-second showing. Griffen Hanson of Ontario 1 was 1.13 seconds back and Quebec's Peter Noe was just a hundredth of a second behind Hanson. WMSC's Skylar Beauregard, on the BC 1 team, was seventh. His time was 1.85 seconds back of Ihns.

Racing concludes on Sunday.
