It is most excellent, dude, but only if you nominate a person, a business, or an initiative by Wednesday.

The Whistler Excellence Awards nominations are for the “innovators, trailblazers and community cultivators.” It’s your chance to do something great for your go-to service, that brilliant business, or even someone in the arts whose name should be on this.

Don't forget a Rising Star. This coveted award is presented to an individual under 40 who has demonstrated outstanding performance and career progression in a management or leadership position.

Hosted by the Whistler Chamber of Commerce, the annual black-tie awards event honours excellence in eight categories: Business Person of the Year; Innovative Business of the Year; the Sustainability in Action Award; the Service Excellence Award — awarded to both a small and large business — and the Whistler Champion of Arts and Culture Award.

Once you’ve decided on your nominations, go to www.surveymonkey.com/r/RXMX9HC to nominate, then share your picks on social media with the #nominateexcellence hashtag.

Nominations close Wednesday at 5 p.m. The awards will be presented June 15
