Rockers Sponge Cola, one of The Philippines' biggest bands, are coming to Whistler for one night at the Maury Young Arts Centre (MYAC).
The show is part of a Canadian tour for the veteran four-piece band, which takes them across the country from Whitehorse to Winnipeg.
Sponge Cola has released 10 albums and EPs and produced many hit songs such as "Jeepney," "KLSP," "Gemini," "Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay" and "XGF."
The band performs at MYAC on Friday, May 26, at 7 p.m.

Between Shifts' big win; all-female Odd Couple
Squamish's community theatre company Between Shifts' latest show is an all-female version of the Neil Simon classic The Odd Couple — with Florence Unger and Olive Madison replacing the iconic Felix and Oscar.
The show takes place at the Eagle Eye Community Theatre from May 18 to 20 and May 24 to 27.
Simon wrote the all-female version in 1985, says artistic director Kathy Daniels.
"There are some new faces among the familiar but all are seasoned performers. Even though it is the female version, there are two hilarious male roles as well," Daniels says.

As well, Between Shifts brought home eight awards at the 2016/17 Theatre BC North Shore Zone Festival of Plays on Friday, May 12 in North Vancouver.
Their play, Kayak, by B.C. playwright Jordan Hall, got a standing ovation, Daniels says.
It won the following awards: Best Backstage Crew, Best Lighting Design for Mike Hewitt, Best Sound Design for Mike Hewitt and Darrell Booth, Best Overall Design for Mike Hewitt and Janet Dundas, Best Supporting Actor Male for Todd Weitzel, Best Actor Female for Kathy Daniels, People's Choice Award for Outstanding Performance for Kathy Daniels, and Special Design and Construction award for the kayak for Juanita Dawn.
Pemberton Fest holds Vancouver pre-party
The Pemberton Music Festival is having a free official pre-party featuring bands July Talk, Dirty Radio, Brevner and Hubbz.
The party takes place at The Imperial in Vancouver on Saturday, May 27. Doors open at 8 p.m.
The event is 19-plus and those wanting to attend must RSVP at the Pemberton Music Festival website in order to get in. The event is first-come-first-served.
