The Whistler Mountain Ski Club (WMSC) proved its mettle at the U14 provincial meet in Fernie, from March 23 to 25.
The WMSC had winners on both individual days of competition while helping the Coast Zone to the dual slalom title on the third day.
On Day 1, Sara Stiel won the women's slalom event, while Kaila Lafreniere also hit the podium in third. Meanwhile, Alexa Brownlie and Erin Husken placed fifth and sixth, respectively.
On the men's side, Duncan Ross and Felix Shorter took second and third in the giant slalom, while Rowland Legg, Sascha Gilbert and Sam Fuller were fifth, sixth and 10th, respectively.
On Day 2, Lafreniere won the women's giant slalom, with Husken (fifth), Brownlie (sixth) and Meagan Doiron (ninth) joining her in the top 10. Meanwhile on the men's side, Shorter took fifth and Ross was 10th in the slalom.

Flann helps Grizzlies to final
The Revelstoke Grizzlies are off to the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) final for the first time since 2010 and a Whistlerite is a major reason why.
Cody Flann has scored at a consistent pace in his first Jr. 'B' season with the Grizzlies, tallying 37 points (22 goals and 15 assists) in 39 regular-season games before chipping in six goals and 11 assists to this point in Revelstoke's 20-game playoff run.
Revelstoke has had to fend off some tough competition in the postseason so far. To start, the Grizzlies needed six games, four of which went to overtime, to get past the Kamloops Storm. They then needed the maximum seven games to dispatch the 100 Mile House Wranglers and the Osoyoos Coyotes.
Revelstoke will now face the Kimberley Dynamiters for a berth in the provincial Cyclone Taylor Cup championship. The series kicks off in Kimberley on Friday, March 29.
Freestyle Canada names overall junior winners
A pair of Whistler junior freestylers wrapped up their respective seasons with some overall glory.
After the two sets of national championships wrapped up in Mount St. Louis Moonstone, Ont. and at Apex Mountain Resort, the organization calculated the top athletes on aggregate.
In the slopestyle/halfpipe/big air championships, Freestyle Whistler's Skye Clarke was edged out for top spot. Clarke has second-place showings in big air and halfpipe and a third in the slopestyle to finish with seven points. Quebec's Olivia Asselin won the big air, was second in slopestyle and fourth in halfpipe to also earn seven points, but took top spot on the tiebreaker.
On the men's side, Kai Martin took third overall despite not medalling in any individual event as he was fifth in big air, seventh in halfpipe and ninth in slopestyle.
Meanwhile, former club member Chase Capicik took third overall at the moguls/aerials nationals after taking fifth in aerials and 14th in moguls.
This past weekend, a number of club members wrapped up Canada Cup action in Stoneham, Que.
In slopestyle, BC Team member Luke Smart led the Whistler contingent with a second-place finish, scoring a 93.20 to trail only Yukon's Etienne Geoffroy.
Provincial teammates Chase and Anders Ujejski finished back to back in fifth and sixth, while Ben Lynch ended up in eighth.
On the women's side, Clarke took third with a 78.80 to lead the way while Josephine Howell took a sixth-place finish.
Clarke also took third in the halfpipe with a 74.20, while Howell and Caoimhe Heavey were seventh and eighth, respectively.No B.C. athletes finished in top 10 on the men's side.
