Childrens performer Norman Foote will be performing in Pemberton this Sunday at Signal Hill Elementary School. The critically acclaimed childrens singer/songwriter/puppeteer will be sharing the stage with the Signal Hill choirs: The Pembertunes, the Boys Choir and the Sparkle Choir.
Signal Hill Elementary music teacher Helen Pearson is delighted by the opportunity to present the hour-long show.
"Ive seen the DVD of his work and I think it will appeal to everyone from kids right up to adults," said Pearson.
"The performance marks the end of a weekend workshop for the kids in choir.
"The kids are going to be at school on both Saturday and Sunday," said choir leader Pearson. "But were going to be having some fun. As well as working with Norman and learning his songs, weve got some other great activities. Weve got a drumming workshop with Sasha (a local drumming instructor). Weve got surprise outdoor activities and some great crafts."
Tickets for the concert are $5 for adults, $2 for kids and $10 for a family of four. Showtime is 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15. A portion of the proceeds will go to help the choir in its fundraising efforts.
