There has been much to celebrate in Whistler in 2012, not least of which is all the snow we have been enjoying. Any number of factors and the strong snow helped make 2012 one of the most successful years on record.

But there were also challenges and tragedies as well, as we look back at the work local government and business did during the year and remember those we lost. In this issue Pique looks back at some of the issues, people and events that touched our lives in 2012.

As author Dan McKinnon, said, "Remember your past mistakes just long enough to profit by them."

Happy New Year from everyone at Pique.
