Adara Hotel names Munn general manager

The newest player on Whistler's accommodation circuit has officially named its general manager. Mark Munn comes to the Adara Hotel with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

The newest player on Whistler's accommodation circuit has officially named its general manager.

Mark Munn comes to the Adara Hotel with over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Originally from Ontario, he settled in Whistler after a two-month road trip across Canada.

In the 1990s he moved around to different positions in hospitality management while working with Starwood Hotels and Radisson Hotels before he joined the Pan Pacific chain in 2000. He later spent five years with the Delta Whistler Resort and Spa during a $64 million renovation, re-branding and re-opening.

"Throughout his career, Mark has proven his ability to recruit, mentor and maintain dynamic service-driven teams, produce exemplary service score results and successfully meet the diverse and always changing needs of Whistler's hospitality clientele," said Cathy Robinson, operations manager with Bellstar Hotels and Resorts, which owns the Adara.

"We chose him in part due to his guest-centric focus which is aligned with Bellstar's mission to provide exceptional resort experiences."

Bellstar manages resorts and hotels throughout the Rocky Mountains and in British Columbia's Kootenays, Coastal Regions and Okanagan Valley.
