The judges said her performance was sub-par but Ali Milner is safe for another week on CBC's Cover Me Canada.

Whistler's favourite redhead may soon be Canada's favourite redhead following her Sunday night performance of Jann Arden's "Insensitive." The judge's reactions were lukewarm, praising her image but criticizing the performance as being too "cutesy-pie."

Deborah Cox said that she "missed the sentiment of the song" while Jordan McKnight gave her praise, saying, "It's you, it's your look and your voice that we love. Bam!"

Ron Fair, Cover Me Canada's resident hardass, said Milner gave a mediocre performance but because she is "extraordinarily, disproportionately, profoundly cute," she was able to "fool the audience into thinking, 'Wow, this is really good,'" and that he thinks she can do better.

Milner took the criticism with a gracious smile and an enthusiastic "Thank you!" So yeah, Milner could move through this competition based on looks and charm alone.

Toronto's GO7 was kicked off at the end of the episode so Milner and her band are safe for another week. The judges have all the say as to who is booted off, but contestants can earn immunity based on the online votes of their fans.
