Hockey Card:

Occupations? Banker, retailer, real estate agent.

Furthest place you travelled and why. Bali, rest and relaxation with wife, Mavis.

Describe yourself using five words or less . Disciplined.

What is one thing people would be surprised to learn about you? No. 1 draft choice of Montreal Alouettes

Profile Questions:

What do you see as the top election issues? The need for better governance.

How would you address the budget shortfall? Better control of expenses.

What do you think is the RMOW's role in boosting tourism? Keep costs and thus taxes down. If we had done a better job of this in recent years we would not have had to implement pay parking, for example. Tourism Whistler, Whistler Blackcomb and the major hotels should lead the charge on boosting tourism.

What would you do to enhance the environment for business? Keep taxes down and, as much as possible, get out of the way. The municipality spends too much time micro-managing the simplest things.

Give an example of a difficult situation you have overcome. In business as COO of Morguard Bank, keeping it solvent when other small banks were going bankrupt. In my personal life, dealing with the death of our first grandchild at four years old to cancer.

Where can people go to get your election platform? Facebook page or email allanjenner@wrec.com
