For the fourth year, the Alta Lake School is hosting its annual Christmas Fair, inviting children and parents to make arts and crafts, enjoy a puppet show and take an origami workshop.

The Christmas Fair takes place at the Spruce Grove Field House this Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Among the events this year is the return of the Cookie House, which is completely filled with different decorated cookies. Each child can make a wish for themselves and family members when they help themselves to a cookie.

Crafts featured at this year’s fair include candle rolling and pressed candles, clove pompadours, potato print Christmas cards, gift tags and wrapping paper, decorative centrepieces, wreaths, and tree ornaments. All of the crafts are inexpensive, costing $1 to $5.

The puppet show goes on at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and the origami workshop takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hot soup, hot dogs and baked goods will be available all day.

A crafter’s marketplace will also take place for those looking to buy unique toys, books and seasonal gifts.

The Christmas Fare is open to one and all.
