So are you a dinkum Aussie, a flaming galar or do you just have kangaroos loose in the top
paddock? Well most likely you will be all of these after downing 80 per cent of
Canada’s import stock of Victoria Bitter right here in Whistler on Australia
Day on Saturday, Jan. 26.
So it’s time
to pull out the Barbie.
No not the
blonde, blue eyed plastic kind, although life size ones are sure to be in
attendance as Whistler erupts into green and gold for Australia Day morning,
noon and night at pubs, clubs and restaurants all over town.
Lairs and
Shelias will be toasting and singling along to We Come From the Land Down Under
and Waltzing Matilda at local watering holes. Check the Pique’s Music Listings
on page 66 for a run down on Whistler’s most unofficial holiday.
Don’t forget
to get flagged out for this all-day party of gold and green.
