Art of Giving prelude to Bazaar

Window shop Whistler's artists with moveable exhibit

The Whistler Arts Council gets into the holiday spirit early this year with a new window shopping artist showcase that will give a sneak peek at the local talent for Whistler’s biggest Christmas fair, Bizarre Bazaar, Dec. 1 to 2 at the Telus Conference Centre.

The new program, Art of Giving, gives shoppers time to make their Santa wish lists early with select Bizarre Bazaar artisans coming together to create holiday packages that will tour businesses around town Monday, Nov. 6 to Saturday, Dec. 2.

Tour display venues include the Fairmont Chateau, Listel Hotel, Hilton Resort, Millennium Place, Whistler Library, Crystal Lodge, Adara Hotel, Le Chamois Boutique Hotel, Scotia Bank, Pan Pacific Mountainside and the Intrawest Activity Centre.

Featured artists include Lynn Pocklington, Duane Perrett, Martina Page, Pamela Mason, Mark Richards, Candace Webb, Sharon Cipp, Rebekah Robertson, Lulu Fielder, Eva Koyari and Kate Power.

Brochures mapping out the tour route will be available at participating venues and the Whistler Arts Council .
