Here is your chance to take a run at your own funny bone and join a local improv troupe.
Sea to Sky Improv Sports is hosting auditions for its upcoming production of A Night of Improv, which shows this fall in Squamish.
Auditions for the troupe are held Sunday, May 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Sea to Sky Hotel in Squamish.
Organizers promise no one will be turned away, so join in the fun and help further build theatre in the corridor.

Free acting workshop
The Whistler Theatre Project is hosting a free audition workshop Sunday, May 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. at MY Millennium Place, inviting anyone interested in theatre, musical theatre or even film to hone their skills.
The workshop will be facilitated by project founders Zaib Shaikh and Todd Talbot, whose credits include the Stratford and Charlottetown Festival as well as Vancouver Playhouse and The Arts Club.
Participants are invited to bring a monologue, scene with a partner, song and/or dance routine to the workshop.
The workshop will be held on a first come, first serve basis so officials encourage participants to come early.
In addition to benefiting from the expertise of two of Canada’s leading actors in the theatre industry, the workshop also presents participants with the opportunity to audition for the Whistler Theatre Project’s upcoming summer stock production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, performed Aug. 2 to Sept. 3 in Whistler. Rehearsals take place in Vancouver.
Youth interested in the Summer Theatre Training Program led by the professional actors performing in Midsummer can also sign up at the workshop.

Five one act plays, one night
Tickets are now on sale for Between Shifts Theatre’s annual evening of one-act plays Take Five May 18-20 and May 25-27 at 8 p.m. at the Brackendale Art Gallery (BAG).
Take Five includes five different one act plays. The evening playbill runs the gamut, including everything from drama to love stories and comedy.
World Without Memory, by Seth Kramer, draws on the life of an Alzheimer’s victim to explore what living life is like without a memory.
Sure Thing, by David Ives, stumbles through a minefield of conversation about love.
Boy Meets Girl, by Wendy Wasserstein, keeps things light with a girl, a guy and a bar – you get the drift.
Designer Genes, by Kent R. Brown, follows the decision of a couple who, after losing a son, apply to Designer Genes Inc. to create the perfect child.
Relative Strangers, by Sheri Wiilner, unearths what happens when a young airline passenger decides the woman seated next to her might be the mother she never had.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors. Advance tickets are available at the BAG and Mostly Books in Squamish.
