Kranked riders take lead

The makers of the Kranked series take mountain bike filming one step further by leaving their riders in the driver seat.

Top riders took a run at designing their own lines for the film with all trails either refined or specially built to unleash Radical Film’s most advanced flick yet, Progression – Kranked 6, showing Saturday, Nov. 18 at the Garibaldi Lift Company (GLC).

“Kranked 6 lives up to the lofty expectations of the franchise,” wrote Cam McRae of North Shore Mountain Bike. “Fans were gobsmacked by Ryan Leech, amazed by Mike Kinrade and blown away by Ben Boyko — and there’s a lot more to cheer about in Progression.”

Other riders pushing the boundaries of the sport include Steve Romaniuk, Steve Peat, Nathan Rennie, Kirt Voreis and Jamie Goldman.

Behind the camera, producer Bjorn Enga seeks out the ultimate trail in his film which includes award-winning cinematography, original soundtrack and full surround sound.

Tickets are $10. Doors 8 p.m. Show 10 p.m.
