WHAT: Astronomy Day

WHEN: Saturday, May 10, 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Whistlers Astronomy Day appropriately doesnt get underway until after the day is over and, it is hoped, under a clear night sky.
Rain or shine, Astronomy Day will include free indoor presentations from local astronomers Carol Legate and John Nemy. The outdoor component, weather permitting, will include telescope tours of the night sky.
The program is for kids and adults with any level of knowledge, and includes a barbecue. People are also invited to bring along binoculars, telescopes, stargazing books and other materials they have.
