Atomic Cross season wraps up with a scorcher

The third and final Atomic Skier and Snowboard Cross took place in sunshine and soft snow last weekend, which proved to be a huge equalizer over the course of the day. Competitors were neck and neck heading into the first table top, and stayed close to the very end.

Joanne Rudd won the women’s snowboard competition, edging out Bodil Drewsen, Danah Besson and Cori Olafson.

Perry Bizyk won his second Atomic Cross in a row, beating out Garrett Halayko, Dave Sakolinsky and Brody Petersen.

In the women’s skier competition, Corinne Kuhn finished first, Vicki Cole second, Adriana Silvester third, and Jasmine Flanagan fourth.

The amateur men’s ski bracket went to Lance Edwards, followed by Brian Backman, Keenan Hood and Alex Geary.

The pro skier category went to Daniel Moore, followed by Ken Pedersen, Tyler Gigg and Kim McKnight who raced with the men on Thursday.
