Bayshores residents should prepare to go without water on Monday, Sept. 11 as municipal crews work to repair a broken water main.

Potable water shutoff is planned between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Water to the area was also shut off for several hours on Thursday, Sept. 8.

The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) on its website said the Bayshores water main system "was taken over from a private enterprise and accurate as-construction documents are not available to our crews," apologizing for any inconvenience this has caused.

Alternating traffic is expected in Bayshores as repairs continue on Cheakamus Way at Tricouni Place through Sept. 22.

Meanwhile, repair to a broken water main on Northlands Boulevard has been completed. Further work and paving is expected for completion in the area over the coming weeks.
