The popular B.C. residents’ special rate for the Whistler
Mountaineer train is being offered again for a limited time as a thank you from
Rocky Mountaineer Vacations for a successful first season.
The special $99 return fair for the 2007 season of the Whistler
Mountaineer Coast Classic, or $169 for the Glacier Dome class, is available
until Dec. 24, or until seats are sold out.
The Whistler Mountaineer runs daily between North Vancouver and
Whistler from May to mid-October. In 2006, the first year of service, passenger
numbers exceeded projections, and the special fare for B.C. residents was very
popular.
“This is by far the best price that will be available for the
Whistler Mountaineer in 2007 and based on the success of the offer last spring
it will sell out quickly, so B.C. residents should book early," James
Terry, executive V.P. and COO of Rocky Mountaineer Vacations, said in a
release. "This special rate has arrived just in time for the holiday
season and offers a wonderful way for British Columbians to be tourists in
their own backyard."
The Internet special is open to B.C. residents only and must be
booked as a round trip online between now and Dec. 24, 2006. A booking fee of
$10 per person applies for reservations made by phone.
Rates for children between 2 and 11 years old are $49 return
for the Coast Classic experience and $99 return for the Glacier Dome.
The B.C. Residents’ Special is subject to availability at the time of booking and not available in conjunction with any other offer. Check the Website for full details and conditions. For more information or to book the Whistler Mountaineer Internet special offer, visit www.whistlermountaineer.com.
