A reminder to all residents whether you are seasonal or permanent, rent or own, you can participate in this program. If you live here, you should be Bear Aware, and that includes your residence.

You can obtain your checklist at www.getbearsmart.com . Follow the steps outlined to become Bear Aware, fill out the ballot (bottom portion) and drop it off to any of the local grocery stores. Starting next week, there will be a weekly draw for prizes and announcements about the number of residential participants in each neighbourhood. The area with the most participants will be invited to a Bear Aware party in their honour sponsored by Blacks Pub and Restaurant in November.

For more information contact Elena Mensch, Whistler Bear Aware Program Delivery Specialist, at emensch@bcccorps.com or call 604-905-BEAR (2327) Ext. 3.
