The Big Bank Theory, a locally produced feature film, is looking for partial post-production financing.
With the success of another independent Canadian production, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and the timely release of the sequel to Dumb and Dumber this summer, this local production company is banking on hitting it big at the home box office.
Produced by Sea to Sky Entertainment (Treasure Mountain: A Pirate’s Tale), this feature-length movie is an entertaining, fun romp with mass market potential. It is geared toward men 18 to 40 years old and is done in the style of Dumb and Dumber, and Dude, Where Is My Car? It will be ready for release to North American and international markets later this summer.
Starring Vancouver actors Kelly Goyer and Phil Trasolini, this fun-filled comedy is about two guys who inadvertently stumble upon some cash and decide that life is good – until they discover that the money belongs to a church. Wanting to do the right thing they set out on a road trip to return the stolen money, but the real thieves have other plans in mind. Directed and Produced by local director Adriane Polo (Wild Wind/Treasure Mountain), this movie was shot in the Whistler/Squamish area last summer.
Now in the post-production phase, the Big Bank Theory is short of $20,000 to complete its editing process. The producers are looking for donations or investments of funds, (tax deductible or equity first-tier position) and an Associate Producer to help with marketing process.
