TGR’s High Life comes to MY Place

What: High Life — Whistler Premiere

Where: MY (Millennium) Place

When: Saturday, Nov. 22, 7 & 9 p.m.

Tickets: $10

The senseless terrain park animosity between skiers and snowboarders melts away over big mountain lines. No one cares if you’re on one plank or two – just whether or not you have the skills and internal fortitude to get down alive.

The crew at Teton Gravity Research has made a name for themselves in the crazy world of action sports filming with their jaw-dropping big mountain footage. Whether it’s snowboarders Jeremy Jones and Victoria Jealouse (whom I hereby nominate for ambassador for the women of planet earth), or skiers Micah Black and Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, TGR’s mountains somehow look steeper, their riders somehow look faster and the impending consequences somehow look more severe.

Now that Whistler’s had its first taste of real snow, ski porn is no longer so frustrating.

Check out the latest TGR flick, featuring their talented stable of riders in all their 16-mm big screen glory at the film’s Whistler premiere this Saturday night at MY Place. Featured athletes will be on hand for showgoers to bow down and worship.

Tickets are $10, available at MY Place and through TicketMaster. Call 604-935-8410 for more information or check out www.tetongravity.com.
