If youre looking to get into mountain biking or to upgrade your set up, and you dont have a lot of money to burn, WORCAs annual bike swap is Saturday, April 23 at the Creekside base. A complete range of bikes and bike gear will be available, and there are always some great deals.
The gear drop-off is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and the swap will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $2 to drop-off your bike, as well as 15 per cent of any purchases under $1,000, and 10 per cent on purchases of $1,000 and over.
Last year WORCA helped to sell over $46,000 in bikes and gear, raising $5,500 towards WORCAs youth programs. This year WORCA will host dirt camps and evening Sprockids camps, and is hoping to sponsor local riders who wish to enter the B.C. High School Mountain Bike championships.
