Black tie and blue jeans is the theme and the dress code for Imagination 2003, a gala dinner, dance and auction for the Whistler Library and Whistler Museum and Archives.
Imagination takes place at the Westin Resort and Spa on Saturday, April 12, and imagination is what has gone into the auction items. A sampling of the items includes:
• a trip to Malaysia, including first class return airfare from Los Angeles to Kuala Lumpur, three nights accommodation in KL with a tour and golf, and three nights accommodation on the island resort of Langkawi with tour and golf;
• a baseball cap signed by Tiger Woods;
• a series of gilt-edged Harry Potter books signed by author J.K. Rowling;
• tickets to the writers festival in Victoria with accommodation at the Empress Hotel;
• tickets to the Vicki Gabereau Show and lunch after the show with Vicki;
• dinner with Whistler Councillor Gordon McKeever.
Tickets to Imagination are $125 and include a champagne reception, four course meal, complimentary wine, dancing to the band Cease and Desist, and silent and live auctions.
