Foundation chooses beneficiaries Three Whistler groups and one from Squamish will be the beneficiaries of the third annual BC Tel Mobility Winter Classic. Whistler Community Services, Whistler Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Whistler Public Library and Squamish Fire Rescue have been chosen by the Blackcomb Foundation Society as beneficiaries. Blackcomb Foundation President Scott Carrell said "We are working very hard to improve upon the $50,000 that was raised last year for the Whistler Health Care Centre. We are pleased to be able to provide funding that touches such a wide variety of needs within the Sea to Sky Corridor." The BC Tel Mobility Winter Classic is a team event that features a number of activities, including wine tasting, match time racing and a dinner and silent auction. This winter's event will be held Feb. 17 and 18.
