The Blackcomb Lodge, one of the first lodges in the Whistler Village, has announced plans for a $4 million renovation.
The renovation follows another project by Blackcomb Lodge Ltd., the creation of the new Whistler Visitor Centre and Whistler Chamber of Commerce building. It also precedes the municipality’s $600,000 Village Enhancement Strategy to improve the appearance of Village Square.
According to a release, the renovation will keep the original character of the lodge, as it was created back in 1981, using the same design and detailing that went into the Whistler Visitor Centre.
The lodge has 72 units, which will be for sale this fall starting at $229,000 through Whistler Real Estate Co. The units are full-ownership, rather than timeshare or fractional ownership.
