The mountain opened to the public Friday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sources say that Wishbone and Choker are the runs given the green light and all shredders will be happy to hear the brand new World Cup halfpipe is also open for business. The main lifts for accessing these runs are Jersey Cream and Catskinner. For uploading use Solar Coaster and Wizard. It is recommended that skiers be of advanced or intermediate level ability. "We’re excited to open up Blackcomb Mountain five days earlier than planned," says David Perry, vice president of marketing. "It couldn’t have happened without the tremendous work of our staff with a little help from mother nature. Other terrain and lifts will be open as soon as snow conditions permit."
