Blue skies and hard-packed conditions helped the Kokanee Valley Race Series to its largest turnout of the season, with more than 80 racers taking part in an extended super G race on Rosss Gold on Feb. 17. Each athlete took two runs of the course, with only the best run counting.
It was the fifth race in the nine-event series, and like the previous week, attracted a strong field of local coaches and former racers.
