Building play in war zones

A screening of Michael Franti’s documentary I Know I’m Not Alone raises funds for Playground Builders on Friday, Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at MY Millennium Place. The local charity has built 14 playgrounds in schools or refugee camps in war-torn countries in the Middle East. The evening begins with a social reception at 6:30 p.m. as well as a raffle boasting everything from a Whistler Blackcomb seasons pass to Canucks tickets. Tickets are $20.
