Calling all used books

Long-weekend book sale benefits library

In most places they are called spring and fall, the transition seasons between winter and summer.

But in Whistler they are the shoulder seasons, the times of the year when businesses gear up or down, people move in or out, and possessions are left behind or acquired.

And they are the seasons when Whistler has its two annual used book sales.

This year’s spring used book sale is Saturday, May 20 th in front of the IGA Marketplace. All proceeds will go towards the Friends of the Whistler Library, who work to provide funds for library needs.

Donations of any type of book – hardcover, softcover, fiction or non-fiction – are welcome. Donation boxes are out now at Nesters Market, TD Canada Trust, and Whistler Public Library. Magazines, DVDs and videos are also welcome.

For large donations, or to help with sorting or at the sale, please call Jane Reid at 604-932-3665.
