Two-time UCI world champion Roland Green of Victoria, fresh off a win at the Sea Otter Classic, finished 19 th in Germany in May, and 12 th in Great Britain last weekend. He currently sits 11 th overall in the World Cup standings.

Seamus McGrath of Ontario is currently 17 th overall after finishing 29 th and 17 th respectively in his last two appearances.

In 20 th is Ryder Hesjedal, Green’s training partner, who is still in the Espoir Under 23 category this season.

That’s three riders in the top-30, although Geoff Kabush of Victoria is just behind the pack in 34 th .

In the women’s World Cup, Vancouver’s Alison Sydor is currently ranked fifth overall, finishing 15 th in Germany and 27 th in Great Britain. Sydor is a three-time world champion and 1996 Olympic silver medallist.

Kiara Bisaro of Courtenay is 12 th overall, finishing 20 th and 13 th in the Sea Otter Classic.

Chrissy Redden of Ontario is tied for 14 th and climbing after finishing 10 th in Great Britain and 20 th in Germany.

Trish Sinclair of Victoria missed the German event, placed 42 nd in Great Britain and was 16 th in the Sea Otter Classic to rank 26 th .

Marie-Helene Premont of Quebec is the top Canadian woman thus far, finishing ninth in Great Britain and 20 th in Germany to rank 28 th .

The cross-country racers are off the hook until the end of June, when the UCI World Cup tour comes to North America, with stops at Mont-Sainte-Anne, Quebec; Telluride Colorado; and Grouse Mountain.
