Canadian Bedouins play Garf’s tonight

Kingston, Ont.-based roots-reggae rock band Bedouin Soundclash bring their laid-back grooves and danceworthy beats to Garfinkel’s tonight.

Who: Bedouin Soundclash

Where: Garfinkel’s

When: Friday, May 28

The band is a favourite on the university circuit down East, which makes sense considering they met while students at Queens.

The trio of vocalist Jay Malinowski, dub bass player Eon Sinclair and drummer Pat Pengelly are taking on the West Coast now, touring as far as Saltspring Island in support of new album Sounding A Mosaic , which they recorded with Bad Brains bass player Darryl Jennifer in March 2003.

The album was released nationwide this past April on Montreal’s Union Label Group.

Tonight’s show is slated to kick off at 10 p.m. sharp.
