Cancer Society recruits for Squamish Relay for Life

Organizers of the 2007 Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life held in Squamish are looking for volunteers to help coordinate events for next June. Committee members will be responsible for organizing activities, putting together a silent auction, recruiting teams, sorting out logistics, communicating with the media, recognizing cancer survivors, planning the luminary ceremony, planning food and beverages, coordinating volunteers, keeping the books, and general fundraising.

The event will be a 12-hour relay based at Brennan Park Recreational Centre, running overnight. Proceeds from entry fees and pledges will go towards the Canadian Cancer Society to fund research and services for people living with the disease.

If you would like to help out with the 2007 relay, which runs June 22-23, contact Tamsyn Morote at 604-898-1012 or .
