Candidate launches new Web site

On Monday there will be a new Web site locals can log on to for the latest information on issues before the municipal council.

The site, www.quinlanforwhistler.com, will be hosted by election candidate Chris Quinlan who is vying for the sixth council seat in the Jan. 11 runoff election.

The site will be a forum for the issues before council, and will include Quinlan’s perceptions on their impact on the community.

"I feel that this is a great opportunity to communicate the issues before council and how they will affect the community as well as get the street level input I feel is so obviously missing from the public process," said Quinlan.

There will also be a contact page to allow people to voice their opinions and ask Quinlan questions.

"There are candidates who have made a lot of promises to take action on these issues," he said.

"This Web site will provide residents with the opportunity to see where I have been involved and taken action."

The election for the sixth seat will take place on Jan. 11 at Myrtle Philip Elementary School from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
