In a bid to engage the local business community on the issues of the day, the Whistler Chamber is searching for 100 businesses to take part in a survey focus group. The group will be asked to respond to up to four surveys a year, which will help to inform the Chamber's discussions and positions on various advocacy issues.
So far the Chamber has not been able to put together a large enough sampling, but they are continuing to recruit.
"On the basis that the Chamber plans to survey its members more regularly about issues affecting business at grassroots, it will incorporate questions about business performance levels into any advocacy-focused surveys," said Chamber President Fiona Famulak.
