chapel update

The spirit of Interfaith co-operation so evident in our proposed new Interfaith Chapel and Meeting Place, may be sadly lacking in many parts of the world, but it is not a new concept in Whistler.

The spirit of Interfaith co-operation so evident in our proposed new Interfaith Chapel and Meeting Place, may be sadly lacking in many parts of the world, but it is not a new concept in Whistler. Early years in the history of the existing Skiers’ Chapel were marked by joint fund-raising efforts from both Protestant and Catholic groups and individuals whose hard work and dedication resulted in Whistler’s first freestanding place of worship. Different faiths have come and gone, sharing the little chapel over the years, but that original spirit of co-operation and harmony remains a living presence in Whistler. Today’s fund-raising committee includes members of different faiths who share a joint vision of a new Interfaith Chapel and Community Meeting Place in the heart of Whistler. Do you share the vision? Call 905-4211 and find out how you can help make the dream a reality.
