Interfaith Chapel update The Interfaith Chapel and Meeting Place is proud to announce a major fund-raising event to be held during the Hongkong Bank Whistler WinterStart Festival. A very special event is being planned on Saturday, Dec. 5, the evening of the men’s World Cup downhill, to celebrate the launch of Whistler’s winter season. The entire community is invited to board the Whistler Express gondola for a moonlight celebration in the alpine at the first public unveiling of the spectacular new Roundhouse Lodge. Alpenglow will feature an incredible array of silent and live auction items, an outdoor bonfire, assorted food stations throughout the Roundhouse Lodge and a few special surprises. Proceeds from the evening will support the Interfaith Chapel and Meeting Place, the Whistler and Blackcomb Ski Clubs and the W5 Whistler Foundation. Tickets for Alpenglow are $40 (lift donated by Whistler/Blackcomb) and are available Nov. 21 at Whistler/Blackcomb Guest Relations, 932-3434.
