Strong, bold and a bit nutty - the Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival returns Saturday, Aug. 14 to the Upper Village on Blackcomb.

Cheese rolling is a downhill race where contestants run after a giant 11-pound wheel of Canadian cheese. The first one to the bottom of the hill has a chance to win the cheese wheel.

Spectators can watch the races and other events, including uphill races for children, cheese bowling and a market full of free cheese samples, starting at noon on Saturday. The first race begins at 1 p.m.

Canadian comedian Jebb Fink will host the cheesy festival, presented by the Dairy Farmers of Canada.
