Christmas is great when you have the little ones around. It’s so much easier to get into the seasonal spirit. If you need some inspiration, and don’t have any ankle biters of your own, the Whistler Children’s Chorus could be just the ticket you need.

One-hundred singers, from tiny tots to teens, will be performing their annual Christmas Concert on Sunday afternoon. They’ve been rehearsing since mid October and are ready to show off their brand new custom-designed black vests adorned with snow flakes, reflecting the Whistler wonderland.

The Chorus’ musical director, Alison Hunter, said this year’s selection of songs is a real mixed stocking.

"They will sing secular and sacred carols, plus their favourite, the Aussie song Six White Boomers. They’ve learned Hebrew for a Hanukkah song and also Czechoslovakian for a traditional Czech carol. It’s amazing to watch," said Hunter.

Admission to the concert is by donation to the Whistler Food Bank. Our Lady Of the Mountains Church is at 6299 Lorimer Road. Look out for these cute carolers in the village closer to Christmas too.
