Christmas lights return to heritage railway park

For the fifth year, the West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish will be transformed into a winter wonderland with lights, music, characters and other displays and activities.

For the fifth year, the West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish will be transformed into a winter wonderland with lights, music, characters and other displays and activities.

This year’s will be bigger than ever with more lights and more characters to watch from the 3 kilometre mini-rail ride. Highlights include the new station, the Brightbill Heritage House, and displays of antique toys from the past.

The Beanery will offer snacks and warm beverages and the station gift shop has been stocked with Christmas and railroad merchandise.

Kids will be able to get a one on one interview with Santa in the Lions Club car, with photographs available.

The event will run from Dec. 12 to 14, Dec. 19 to 23 and Dec. 26 to 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The last train leaves Silver Fox Station at 8 p.m.

Admission is $4 per person, or $15 for a family of five. All members receive 50 per cent off the price of admission.
