Guess whos back?
If you were one of those people that stood in line outside of Tommy Africas all night back in April, heres a second chance to see world renowned DJ/Producer Roger Sanchez in the intimate club venue.
Sanchez returns to Tommy Africas this Thursday, Nov. 18 for another trademark super set.
Tommys manager Jon Tischuk has assured that ticket prices have been capped this time at $20 with a $17 locals price for tickets bought in advance. Proof of local status, such as a drivers license or pay stub will be required to get the discount. Advance tickets are currently on sale at Snomotion.
The tickets are white hot. DJs dont come much bigger than Sanchez, a New York native with street cred dating back to a cameo in the classic old school flick Breakdance (1984).
Since then Sanchezs star has risen to the DJ stratosphere. Hes internationally known for his club nights in London, U.K. and Ibiza and a Web radio broadcast that logs 1 million listeners weekly. He was honoured with a Grammy award in 2003 for a remix of No Doubts Hella Good.
Tommys new Wednesday club night Humperdinck Slapptyback is also in full swing. Headliner Scott Arkwell is making regular appearances digging deep for eclectic funk, rock, breaks and house tracks. Also on board, local ruler Mr. Fister, the Englebert Dancers go-go squad and MC Curtis Santiago.

Jungle N Breaks says good-bye
JnB Productions is presenting one last Jungle N Breaks club night at Garfinkels on Tuesday.
The night features something old, something new old school resident DJs Soda and Ecliptic vs. the newest residents Jungle Souldier and Marky Mark.
Tuesday marks the end of an era for the club night, which debuted in 2000. Over the years internationally recognized electronic music artists such as The Freestylers, Aphrodite and Krafty Kuts appeared at Jungle N Breaks events.
The final Jungle N Breaks night this Tuesday doubles as a fundraiser for local artist couple KLC Nash and Chili Thom following the theft of their beloved RV "the Prawn" from outside their studio gallery in Function Junction. All proceeds from the door will be donated to Chili and KLC.
In December JnB is joining with the crew from local record store Dirty Beats to present a new Tuesday club night at Garfs called Foundation, which will mix JnBs regular drum n bass fare with a regular dose of house music.
