Comedy for a cause

You shouldn't really need a reason to laugh, but the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program is as good a reason as any. They're hosting their fourth annual Comedy in the Creek event at Nita Lake Lodge, on Friday, April 17.

You shouldn't really need a reason to laugh, but the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program is as good a reason as any. They're hosting their fourth annual Comedy in the Creek event at Nita Lake Lodge, on Friday, April 17.

Headlining this year's event is Pete Crutchfield, Whistler's very own "Quadfather of Comedy," as well as Paul Bae, Tim Rykert and Dan Quinn.

"We have an excellent lineup for Comedy in the Creek this year," Crutchfield said in a recent press release. "This is a highlight of the Whistler Adaptive Sports Program's fundraising calendar, and we are happy to have the support of these talented Vancouver comedians."

All of the funds raised will go towards innovative adaptive sports and recreational programming for WASP, including purchasing equipment, providing volunteer training, and assisting in capital fundraising for a new Welcome and Equipment Centre at Whistler Blackcomb.

Tickets are $20, and can be purchased at the door or online at www.whistleradaptive.com .
