CommunityNow film released on DVD

By Shelley Arnusch

The Whistler Museum has released part one of the CommunityNow: The People of Whistler project on DVD.

The short documentary film features senior community members speaking about WhistlerÕs past, present and future as it prepares to host the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

The museum is producing one short documentary on a different demographic of the Whistler community each year between 2005 and 2009, for screening during the annual Celebration 2010 Whistler Arts Festival in February.

In 2010 all five documentaries will be edited into one feature film and screened at a special reception during the Games.

Part One of CommunityNow: The People of Whistler premiered at MY Millennium Place last Feb. 25 to enthusiastic response.

The DVDs are available at the museum for a suggested donation of $10.
