Council welcomes public input on budget

Council will listen to comments about the proposed five year financial plan at Monday’s regular council meeting.

The format of the Monday, April 19 meeting has been changed slightly to allow residents to speak out about the budget.

There will be an open house from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. before the regular council meeting. There will also be time to ask any questions during the public question and answer period, which kicks off every council meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Municipal staff will be available to answer any questions and council will receive comments but not debate the points.

The proposed budget was presented to council at the April 5 meeting. Free copies are available at municipal hall and the Meadow Park Sports Centre. Or check out the document online at the www.whistler.ca. Go to the Reading Room and find the budget under Key Strategies and Policies.

Council must adopt the budget by May 15.
